About
Bio
Ian Lim (they/them) is a Ph.D. candidate in Physics at the University of California, Davis. They received a B.S. in Physics with Honors from Stanford University and a Master's of Advanced Study in Applied Mathematics from the University of Cambridge. Following their undergraduate studies, they interned with the ATLAS group at Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory, conducting research on experimental particle physics before beginning their master's at Cambridge. Their non-physics interests include musical theatre, baking, social dancing (cross-step waltz and west coast swing in particular), and befriending cats. They currently work with Professor Isaac Kim in Computer Science, and their research interests include quantum information, black holes, and quantum field theory.
