Ian Lim, Quantum Mechanic
Theoretically, a physicist. Searching for truth and beauty in the universe, in that order.
Ian Lim (he/they) is a Ph.D. student at the University of California, Davis. They received a B.S. in Physics with Honors from Stanford University and a Master's of Advanced Study in Applied Mathematics from the University of Cambridge. Following their undergraduate studies, they interned with the ATLAS group at Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory, conducting research on experimental particle physics before beginning their master's at Cambridge. Their non-physics interests include musical theatre, baking, social dancing (cross-step waltz and west coast swing in particular), and befriending cats. They currently work with Professor Veronika Hubeny in the Fields, Strings, and Gravity (FSG) group as part of the Center for Quantum Mathematics and Physics (QMAP) at UC Davis, where their research interests include black holes, quantum information, and quantum gravity.
